Explore the villages and landscapes around Tenerife’s Mt Teide and the Masca valley on a full-day tour! After leaving southern Tenerife, make your way through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Teide National Park where otherworldly volcanic sights abound. Pass through Vilaflor, one of Spain’s highest villages, stop for photos at the island’s famous dragon tree over 3000 years old in Icod De Los Viños and then enjoy plenty of free time to explore Garachico the original port of Tenerife which was devastated by the last volcano eruption and Masca the village on a cliff the gorgeous Canarian village tucked into the hills. With much much more to see and discover with this trip you will not be disapointed. You will have time for lunch in a recomended restaurant or take your own lunch which there are many places to sit and eat. November to May can be a little cold in the mountains. 20 min - Take a lovely walk around the famous rock formations with great views of Mount Teide Volcano and the National Park

5 min - See the Chiñero volcano lava fields (the most recent of the eruptions here in Tenerife 1906)

Parque del Drago
30 min - Stop off in Icod de los Vinos to take a look at the old dragon tree 3000 years old. ( the old folks tale is if the tree is cut it will bleed.) The village of Icod is rustic with the typical church and plaza.

Masca Valley
30 min - Spend some time here in possibly the most beautiful villages in Tenerife. I tiny hamlet hidden in the folds of western Tenerife. A community of people who wanted to be hidden from the rest of the island. Amazing views of a gorge leading down to Los Gigantes.

Piscinas Naturales El Caleton
40 min - Garachico being the original first port in Tenerife until destroyed in 1706 by the volcano erupting. Having time to take a stroll through the town center or take a seat in the plaza under the trees and enjoy the scenery.

Great value, would recommend

Fantastic, panoramic trip with an experienced driver and a great tourist guide. We enjoyed every moment of it. Note though that on Saturdays the cafe near the souvenir shop you stop at is closed.

Mt Teide and the west side of Tenerife were fantastic!

Can’t recall the guide’s name but he was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and it was impressive how he went back and forth between English, French, and Italian. My wife and I decided against hiring a car. We thought this sort of tour would work perfectly given we wanted to go to Teide, etc. and it did especially due to the narrow winding roads in and around Masca. Glad we did this tour and would recommend it to anyone. John & Dorys Price

Breath taking experience

An amazing experience! The little villages and stops they took us too were all so cute and different. Our driver was brilliant on the bends and our tour guide was incredibly friendly and informative. Unfortunately the restaurant we were brought to us was poor, wish we were given to choice to pick from different ones. My favourite stop was definitely Masca

All day Teinde & Mascalla Valley tour.

The overall experience was fantastic. A well worth day out exploring famous points of Tenerife. One word of caution though, at the lunch stop, don’t opt for 16 euro “3” course lunch. The soup was a mixture of pasta, vegetables and wasn’t hot. The chicken is boiled & you basically have 4 pieces of bone served. Hardly a decent piece of chicken. The dessert is a shot glass with a coconut and chocolate cream. It was tasty but 2 spoonfuls and it’s gone. However, the overall tour was wonderful with a very knowledgeable guide & excellent bus driver.
